pourquoi.app is an iPhone and Android app that helps you notice how you use your phone. When you open an app you chose, or on Android when you unlock your phone, it asks why. In one second, you answer: the habit becomes a choice. No blocker, no gamification, no guilt.
Where the idea comes from
Most “less phone” tools rely on prohibition: Screen Time limits, apps that lock Instagram, streaks and scores. For some people, that works. For many others, the rule gets bypassed, then the tool gets dropped. And guilt follows.
pourquoi.app starts from a different idea: opening your phone without thinking is not a weakness to punish. It is something you do on autopilot. A short pause before opening an app is sometimes enough to turn that into a choice.
The product stays deliberately sober. No magic promises. Just a question when you open the apps you chose (on Android, also when you unlock your phone), simple answers, stats to see what changes. On iPhone and Android.
