pourquoi.app is an iPhone app that helps you notice how you use your phone. When you open an app you chose, it asks why. In one second, you name your intention: the reflex becomes a choice. No blocker, no gamification, no guilt.
Where the idea comes from
Most “less phone” tools rely on prohibition: Screen Time limits, apps that lock Instagram, streaks and scores. For some people, that works. For many others, the rule gets bypassed, then the tool gets dropped. And guilt follows.
pourquoi.app starts from a different idea: opening your phone without thinking is not a weakness to punish. It is an automatic gesture. A short pause before opening an app is sometimes enough to turn that gesture into a choice.
The product stays deliberately sober. No magic promise on every unlock. A question when you open the apps you chose, simple answers, stats to see what changes. On iPhone today. Android is coming soon.
