• Is my data sent anywhere? +

  Your answers and system usage data stay on your phone. Anonymous, optional app usage statistics may be shared with Firebase if you accept. The site uses Google Analytics only if you accept cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

• Is there a free trial? +

  Yes: when you finish onboarding, you get 7 days of full access with no credit card. After that, the app stays free to use (unlimited questions, limited stats) or you can subscribe to Premium.

• Why pay for Premium? +

  Because changing a habit doesn't show in 24 hours. The free tier lets you ask the question every day. Full access helps you keep the thread: notice what keeps coming back, see what shifts, understand what truly feeds your attention, with no blocking and no guilt. It also funds an independent app with no ads and no data resale.

• How do I cancel? +

  Open Settings › your name › Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play › Payments & subscriptions (Android), select pourquoi.app, then cancel. Premium access remains active until the end of the paid period.

• Can I dismiss the question without answering? +

  Depending on the platform, the system may let you close without answering (on Android, you must answer to continue). Either way, we advise against it: the question only helps if you answer. Skipping weakens the gesture: without a named intention, pourquoi.app can barely help you.

• Why iOS 26 minimum? +

  pourquoi.app is designed for iOS 26 and later: some interactions (like the “Ask pourquoi.app” Shortcut) feel smoother and nicer to use day to day.

• Is Screen Time required? +

  No. Granting Screen Time enriches “My stats”, but the app works fully without it.

• What about Android? +

  The Android version is in progress. It is not on Google Play yet. You can join the newsletter to get notified at launch. Features will match iOS, with platform-specific permissions (overlay, usage statistics).

• Is there a Family plan? +

  Yes on iPhone: Family plans are shared via Apple Family Sharing. On Android, only Solo is offered. Google Play does not allow sharing in-app subscriptions and purchases through Family Library.
